The vision of the faculty is to be achieved through rigorous scholarship; the use of new educational technologies in preparing professional educators; advocating for equitable and inclusive learning environments; and promoting local, national, and international collaborations.
Due to the large increase in students’ application to KASU for teacher education, the Faculty of Education was established in 2019, to improve the educational standard in the state by creating a faculty saddled with the responsibility of training the teachers. The Faculty of Education is situated at Makera, Kakuri Campus of the institution with three departments and 11 programs as follows:
The Faculty publishes the Kaduna Journal of Education (KADAJE).
Services the other two departments.
The establishment of the faculty was aimed at producing qualified teachers for the basic and post-basic educational levels, as well as to serve as a training ground for enhancing teachers’ professional competence in the 21st century.
